Mr. Perry’s original concept in 1977 was to become a broker in fundraising activities for church and civic groups. Over a short period of time he and his wife Priscilla, accumulated over 50 coffee cans full of unique jewelry that they didn’t have the heart to melt down. So they went into business and discovered an enthusiasm on the part of the public to match their own. It has been nearly 30 years since Perry’s at SouthPark first opened their doors. During those years we have earned the respect and confidence of our community and customers. We are a member of Jewelers of America, Estate Jewelers Association, and The Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, to name a few. The Treasures Recycled concept began in 1998 when Mr. Perry realized the potential of marketing on eBay. We started selling items that we didn’t think fit the store’s merchandising, and items that had been inventoried for a while. As we evaluated people’s estates, we realized that eBay would be a great way to liquidate just about anything, and began offering this service to our customers. "It never ceases to amaze me what people have in their safety deposit boxes, their jewelry boxes, and stored away in their attics."– Ernest Perry |
